'It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and then it makes you cheer' - The Times
This great new musical comedy, based on a true story about a group of ladies who do the unthinkable for charity is the result of a collaboration between two long-time friends who grew up in Frodsham, Cheshire (where Daniel Craig's dad ran the local pub). One of them is Tim Firth, celebrated playwright, screen and songwriter and author of Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots. The other is Gary Barlow, of X Factor and Take That, and winner of the Ivor Novello award. Tim had the story, Gary had the music, and a new show was born.
The Girls premiered at Leeds Grand Theatre, then moved to The Lowry in Manchester in January 2016. It ran for 60 sell-out performances and earned a standing ovation at every one.
So where do you go with a track record like that? The West End of course. The Girls is now at the Phoenix Theatre, and this great Omega weekend break includes a Grand Circle ticket plus return coach travel, 4 star hotel with English breakfast, and some free time in the capital too. Just the thing to make you burst into song!
