As a perfect way to conclude our special visit to Althorp, we sit down to a mouth-watering afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and scones within the former Great Dining Room of Althorp that was intended to be a replica of the ballroom at Buckingham Palace. Being part of a special group visit, we will also be allowed access to some of the House's first floor rooms.

Itinerary

Day 1: Stratford-upon-Avon

Your holiday begins when you board our private coach in the early morning for the journey to Stratford-upon-Avon. Situated on the River Avon, Stratford-upon- Avon is most famous for being the birthplace of England’s greatest poet and playwright, William Shakespeare. After some free time you re-board our coach and continue the journey to our hotel arriving in time for your included evening meal.

Day 2: Althorp

Following your included breakfast we travel to Althorp House for our included entrance. We will follow the official route through the House at our own pace, with guides in each room on hand to answer any questions we may have about the House or the late Princess. Normally, visitors are charged a supplement to view the ten upstairs rooms that are open to the public; being a special group visit on our day, we will be allowed access to view the Picture Gallery, the Oak Bedroom, the Ante Room and Great Rooms that are nowadays used for entertaining. At the end of the exhibition  we meet in the finer setting of the State Dining Room back in the House for our included afternoon tea. At the end of a wonderfully memorable visit to Althorp Estate, you reboard our coach at the front of the House for the return journey, arriving back in your local area in the mid evening.
Please note: We reserve the right to amend the order of the itinerary for operational reasons. Should any amendments be made you will be informed with your joining instructions.
